  6. Embedded Systems Conference East in Boston last week, so good news for
  7. those of you who want a 32-bit, PowerPC-based washing machine. Note also
  8. that we have changed the numbering of the native software library; it
  9. now begins at story number 4400. Apologies to anyone who had
  10. difficulties with software downloads last week - we initially encoded
  11. the files with BinHex 5 rather than BinHex 4, however
  12. everything is now sorted

  80.    offer the best of all worlds; support for multiple operating systems
  81.    and the ability to gradually integrate Taligent's object technology.

  84.    Both Motorola and IBM launched PowerPC into the embedded systems
  85.    market last week; today 32bit chips are so rare in this sector that
  86.    market researchers don't even bother to count them, but this is
  87.    changing.
